i remember a game in the early 90's away at bolton.

we lost 3-1 and there were no more than 400 blues there. colin gordon scored for blues.

blues were run everywhere before and after the game.

the police were aware that blues would come in the numbers the following season and the game was switched to a sunday morning. we took thousands.

I remember a Tuesday night home game, possibly a crap cup of some kind against Hereford/Mansfield? that was played in really foggy conditions.

I stood behind the goal on the Tilton and you couldn't see the halfway line. I reckon the attendance that night was a couple of thousand, max.

Old Trafford, New Year's Day 86 was pretty shocking. I'd say 200 ish.

I was on the supporters coach, and it was nowhere near full.

I didn't go to any more aways in that 85/86 season, but if Man U was anything to go by, there must have been some dismal followings.

I remember an away game at Millwall that Kaz Brady asked for ID for anyone who went.

This was after the riot (handmade hand grenade incident) at our place.

Not many blues at this one.

I was in the Millwall seats for that, some of the comments were chilling, a whole step up from the usual vitriol.

This was the game when Blues firm of about 70 got as far as Euston, rounded up and sent home by the Met. Just aswell probably. Very sinister mood at New Den that night.

I remember going to Grimsby on a Tuesday night in the mid 90s (Barry Fry era, may have been a Cup game). 1-1 draw, no more than 300 there.
Also Southend on a Tuesday night - not many Blues there either. We lost 4-0, Collymore played for Southend that night.

Yep i went to that grimsby one thumbs up

I think I can beat these mentioned, Burnley away Good Friday 74, Burnley had lost semi to Newcastle week before and their fans were right leery on the day, I swear there wasnt a hunded boyos there, I always remember them (burnley) singing about their leader Billy something or other who fronted the Geordies @ Hillsborough, Think I was with My cuz young brother and a couple of his mates.
It was bad inside the ground but much worse afterwards outside.

Anyone else recall it? WE played at home to Stoke following day then home to Burnley on the Monday.

Sunderland away 1981ish in the FA Cup replay. we drew with them 1-1 at Stans.
Went up to Roker and won 1-0 I think Tony Evans scored for us that night.
No more than 200 if that Blues fans there.
And it was freezing !!!

That game was a bloody nightmare.

You're right, it was absolutely freezing. We were losing 1-0 until the last kick of the game when Bertschin equalised.

So we started extra-time and within a minute Evans put us 2-1 up, and we had to stand through 29 more minutes of it.

It might have been Evans then Bertschin...the goals were so close together I can never remember. But I'll always remember how cold those 29 minutes were.

Going back to 1971 (I think) - we played up at Bolton on a miserable, wet afternoon and got stuffed 3-0. We were in the uncovered railway end - it seemed as if there were only about 50 Blues fans there, and I was fascinated, as a 10 year old, at the incessant chant of 'Roger Hunt is a c***', all throughout the game.
You know what? I think I'd quite like to sit near Miguel.

My mate swears the lowest ever was something like a full members cup game away v Charlton, possibly at the Valley? Reckons there were easily less than 100 Blues, total crowd was only something like 817.

That was played at Palace when Charlton were in exile. I was stood with my mates right behind the goal in the Holmesdale End (not the away terrace triangle). There was a group of lads right behind us from Brum (not even sure they were all Blues) who were working a building job in London. They were still dressed in their work gear.

Such was the paltry size of the gate, it made backpage headlines with a picture of part of the crowd accompanying it. I believe the builders were in the picture.

Smallest following I can remember was 11 of us against Millwall. A re arranged fixture mid seventies. Whole crowd only seemed about 400. Also, Old Trafford mid seventies, blues very low key, I thought we were the only ones there until 80th minutes and about 200 blues in the seats starting singing KRO.

Yes I was in there.

Tranmere away just before Christmas 1990 is another shit one. Friday night, no transport, me and Razzle took a National Express to Liverpool. Underground to Prenton and then very late ran 2 miles to the ground. lost 1-0, memorable for a huge "Northern Blues" flag and nothing else. Journey back was torturous with coach stopping in Stoke and Wolverhampton.

This basically sounds like the scipt to a fecking horror film 8-)

Yeah, only decent thing Kingson ever did for us.

I'm going to put my hat in the ring and say that Kingson was directly related to, or the love-child, of Andy Gosney.
