On the sort of subject. I've been doing a bit on the new Everton ground this week. Snagging mainly for a contractor. Main contractor laing o'rourke.
Chatting away and I heard that Everton are putting a cap on season tickets.
Basically if you had one at goodison that's fine but no new ones. They are basically wanting day trippers and Asian tourists. Buy a shirt, buy a football friend's scalf, and a pint of piss.

Careful what we wish for.....
As excited as I am about the new stadium the tourist side of our new matchday experience does worry me a little.

Let's say over the next 7 years or so we have been 'lucky' enough to have become a middling Prem league club. I still believe we will have done incredibly well to get 40k+ Blues fans in the new stadium. That would be a 75% increase which would be some achievement.

That would mean there would be approx 15k tickets available for each game for the tourists. The thought of having an additional 15k Man U / Liverpool tourist fans in the stadium might be an experience we will have to get used to. And a bit of a nightmare security wise.
