Always have one. Start in the office for food and a few drinks then go up town. It's pretty crap for a business not to make the effort. Even if they need to do it on the cheap it's a gesture that means a lot to people.

We're off to The Glee club next Friday, with beer food and all the delights Brum can offer. All paid for by the boss who really values his staff, pity that's me and going to cost me a fortune !

You are going to be pissed off when you find out it’s QB on stage, voodz is doing the cooking and bats hanging about outside trying to pull Olive the cleaner.

We haven't had one for a few years now but that's because we are banned from most places!
We used to have a coach pick us up, meal, entertainment, endless drink and everyone used to help themselves to the things in the venue when leaving! Someone took a xmas tree home one year.
I used to come home fed and pissed and have more money than I went out with!

1 Orange juice
1 Apple juice
1 lime and soda
1 bottle of wine
1pt of ale
That is the total number of drinks consumed at our Christmas lunch today amongst a team of eight.
A total bill of less than £100.

But we still had a lovely time!!

We are front line NHS and are in for a busy time

No staff party at my firm - because there is only me!

However, I will be present at lots of other peoples Christmas parties, taking photos!

Last Saturday in Ascot - Coty Inc.
Tomorrow - Jewellery & Giftware Federation.
Friday 8th - ICC shared party. Same venue on 9th, 14th, 16th and 22nd.
Friday 15th - Grant Thornton Birmingham Office.
Saturday 30th - Home Bargains Stores.

Finishing off with the ICC again on New Yeras Eve.

Every year without fail our Xmas party is at ....The Molineux ! In the Jack Hayward Suite. So in the stand opposite where they herd us.
It's next Thursday 14th. Any special requests for any special damages would be appreciated.
I'll see what I can do.
I'll be surrounded by gloating Dogheads who have already taken pleasure in telling me how dirty Blues are, and how they're now going to conquer the world. More to come me thinks. But don't worry I've fought back telling them the difference was a stuffy goal (by inches), and I've asked to borrow their book, "Guide to League One Grounds 2013/14". Plus they didn't smash us 5 or 6 nil as most of them predicted. I think they expect me to shower them with compliments but I aye 'avin any of that, they can swivel. Strange that when they went to League One they hardly talked to me.

I work for a pretty large company that is split into many departments.
When I joined about 10 years ago, we'd have a Christmas do, in works time and they'd pay.
For the last 4 or 5 years, it's now only if someone can be "ar5ed" to organise something.
Even then, it'll be an evening do, normally a quick drink in a local Wetherspoons, followed by a sit down curry.

Why the fluck would I want to actually socialise with some of the wenkers I work with?

TBH, haven't bothered the last 3 or 4 years, but might go this year - just so I can tell a couple of them how much I value their continued help and support!
