Rolled my eyes when I heard ‘laddish, shouty’ young British guitar band. Hyyyyyyype. But had a listen and not what I expected. They do sound angry but not in a self conscious way. Breath of fresh air.

Are they as good as The Jam or the Small Faces else I'm out?

Saw 'em twice last year, if you can get to see 'em while they are still playing small venues, don't pass the opportunity up.

Never rated the Chameleons much.

Shame album gets a thumbs up on first listen - nothing new but well done.

Problem with The Chameleons was that it was hard to find their records.

I like a whole lot of stuff from that era - in fact, most of my favourite bands are in that new wave/indie type drawer from 79-85 - but I never really warmed to the Chameleons, even though on paper they tick a lot of boxes.
