Don't see it happening myself but not surprised to see his name being thrown about. He's a League One manager so wouldn't be the craziest appointment I suppose.

Sorry, it's the only John Aston I've ever heard of.

I've lived with the Stigma of my surname for 60 years now. Its not the first time my allegiance has been questionned and am sure it wont be the last. But

I was at Cardiff for TF debut
I was at Orient in 72 and Hillsborough the Saturday before
I was at Hillsborough and Maine Road in 75
I was at Stans to see Bridges overhead kick v Arsenal, and at Highbury in the first match for Vowdens equaliser from the corner and the quarter final v Chelsea the season before
I was at Bruges, and Cesena
I was at Cardiff when Ellery robbed us
I was at Cardiff in 2002
I was at Wembley for all three finals
I've had a season ticket since before 0-3 v Cambrdidge and the "Don't you think we've had enough" sit down protest.
I've been to 84 of the 92 with Blues and about 20 others too
I saw the flipper mans dive into the puddle at Bolton
I was at Bolton and Bristol City for the great escape, and Southampton and Coventry in seasons gone by

And I'm not related to the famous John Aston of Manchester United either

Oh yes, among many number fives who hold a special place in Blues folklore, some good and some maybe not so good. Have to say that the late, but great, Roger Hynd evokes most good memories for me however.
