Wet Spam love a has been. if you look at their player signing over the years. (Zabaleta, Hart prime cases at the minute)

You could honestly imagine Sullivan going for Arsene Wenger or something stupid like that.

It would be Sullivan's style to leak to the papers that he was after Rafa Benitez or Antonio Conte and end up with Kevin Nolan.

No if they got him, the stupid thing would be to go for him in the first place as they wouldn't get him

I was being sarcastic Durham, they always have loads to spend and are linked with fantastic players around season ticket renewal time.

We all think Monk is great but I’d imagine the rest of the world is looking at his sacking at Boro and thinking that we are his level. I’d be astounded if he was even on the outskirts of contention for any premier league job.

This.

Don't get me wrong, I like the bloke and think he's done a great job so far with us but he's only been here 15 games(ish?).

Prior to that he got sacked at Swansea (albeit harshly), did well at Leeds before a Derby-esque bottlejob at the end of the season, and then spunked loads of money at Boro before getting sacked when they were outside the play-offs.

There's a reason he is at Blues and he won't be going anywhere anytime soon, as long as there's no major falling out with the board.

I'm more worried about West Brom coming in for him, would he see that as a more attractive set-up than Blues? Probably yes when he sees the transfer budget..

Has Carvahal left Swansea yet? They could be our biggest threat, also Baggies if they give Big Dave the tin tack.
Thanks for keeping us up, Harry.

I believe teams like Swansea and West Brom would be interested in Monk, I hate to say it but if we are limited in the market due to FFP, I could possibly see him being tempted.
