Overton is not very good. Neither is Curran mind.

He looked pretty good against probably the worlds best Test side in India last year...

Those two are pretty much interchangable for me. Pretty poor first change bowlers, but both can bat.

Woakes in is the correct call.

So its basically Curran in for Roy.

Whatever 'it' is. Curran has 'it'.

I can't understand why he didn't get the call over Overton for OT. He's been dangerous whenever I've seen him, but as he's been in the England squad, has he played at all over the last six weeks?

Odd one with Woakes. I was at OT last week and at lunch he was practicing his bowling but had an ankle support on and was limping noticeably.

He walked in front of me so I obviously gave it a Keep Right On and a Shit on the Villa. Just so he knew...

Let's not forget Curran has just turned 21. He's shown great promise for his age.

How far away is Sam Hain?
I know he struggled in red ball cricket a bit, but seems to have had a decent season.
Always performs for the Lions. I'd be surprised if he doesn't tour this winter.

Think your very wrong with Curran. Very good bowler and a gutsy batsman. Will be around the test team for years to come.

Big up to the poster who posted their pre-Ashes bets, which I shamelessly copied.

Top Ozzy Wicket Taker – Cummins – 15/8 (Currently on 24, 6 more than Hazlewood)
Top Ozzy Run Scorer – Smith – 7/4 – (Currently on 671, 380 more than Labuschagne)
Top English Wicket Tacker – Anderson – 7/4 (Harsh one that)
Top English Run Scorer – Stokes – 5/1 (Currently on 354, 31 more than Burns, bit nervy that one!)

Few quid in the bank!

I hope u right Harry, from what I saw of him, I agree with you.
Whenever I am picking an all time great team, I always have a left arm seamer And a leggy to compliment the right arm seamers.

Lost the toss, in to bat first.

Unless he adds a bit of pace, which seems unlikely, can’t see him getting many test match wickets, especially abroad. Useful but not threatening enough. I think he’s a better bet as a batter long term.

We're crap at tosses. Its a critical part of the game. What are the selectors doing about it?!

Everyone saying it's a batting wicket, so that shows just how much the Aussies think of our batting.

England are just where they always end up at some point.

They have a brain wave about picking actual specialists who can bat well, bowl well or keep wicket well...but it's a cycle and they always end up with an assortment of bits and pieces cricketers.

They faff around and come up with bowlers who aren't that good as bowlers and blokes who aren't great with the gloves but "can bat a bit".

At the moment they also have a number of batsmen who want to come in at number seven and "be given licence"...without the nitty gritty of actually having to be responsible for putting runs on the board.

At some point it will change - but then it will change back again.

That was me. Smith and Cummins should be fine and I've managed to get Anderson voided with Bet365.

Got a nervy wait on Stokes for £780. Burns getting out cheaply this morning would be nice!
