Just watched it, was slightly before my time, I was born in 93. Maradona was absolutely incredible from what I saw, was he really that good?! How does he compare to messi?

I have that documentary on VHS somewhere.

Always hard to compare eras, but yes, he was that good in an era when defenders were allowed to be a lot more physical than they are now. I 100% believe that Maradona would be a world class talent if he was playing today, would Messi back then? Almost definitely given how similar they are in both physique and technique.

Why get Caine to do the voice over? Wonder how much he got paid for that.

The greatest in my opinion. Won the league with the Italian equivalent of Blues and won two World cups. Napoli had 75,000 season ticket holders in the 80s.

Not sure but I'm sure he mentioned handbags so it should probably be deleted.

Two world cups??

He got about five hundred quid. And a Mars bar.
