Heard a word yesterday that I've not heard or used for years .... Famished, any others come to mind that we seldom hear these days ??

Pissed as a newt.
A few sleeves for the rattler, a fellow Brummie said that to me who was coming back from an England match abroad by train. I didn’t have a clue what he meant.

Thought of starting an Old Words Club where every week one of the members chooses half-a-dozen ( did you see what I did there?!) words which we all have to use online, social media, SHA, the pub(!) so as to keep ‘em going.

Getting fed up with the same ‘utility’ words that are used for about a score of meanings, like ‘accessible’ for which we used to use loads of more specific words.

Notice I said ‘loads’ rather than ‘multiple’ ?!

Deaf it out
Like an English rain. So light yet endless from a leaden sky. Neil Peart RIP.

And when the music stops
There's only the sound of the rain.
