We destroyed Geramny last year, and they haven't really improved much despite a being a younger team.

We've got to be among the favourites if we can defend well.

I fear France mind.

Japan "Hold my sake"

Not in the same league, surprise wise though.

Japan are very good, and have been for a long time.

Poor Goalkeeping.
Why did he turn his chest\body into a side on position. Cleared the path for the ball to go in

I backed Japan @6s, they beat Columbia in the group stages and they always have a go in tournament matches. Germany shipped a fair few goals in the Nations League.

They crunched the numbers yesterday and came to the conclusion it was the biggest shock in World Cup tournament history.

Japan were 2-0 up against Belgium in the quarter final of the last World Cup.

Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing result for Japan, but the not (quite) the shock of yesterday.

Germany are shite too, I really don't know what's happened to German football.

I always fancy a side from the far East to do well and cause an upset ever since South Korea beat Italy in 2002

They’re sides are so full of energy, don’t give you a moments rest

The WW1 Germans were referred to as the hun because our propoganda machine wanted them percieved as bestial or barbarian.

Well, strictly speaking it was a term originally used by Kaiser Wilhelm in response to the actual brutality* of German troops involved in putting down the Boxer rebellion in China, where he effectively supported their behavior, so not so much a perception.

And then used disparagingly against them by Kipling during WWI. I'm pretty certain the German's did similar, it was war after all.

*and yes, we were involved as well.

Cracking win for Japan though.
The richest person in Parliament becomes Prime Minister, and will make the poorest in society pay the price for this mistakes his party has made. Enough is Enough.

Why does a World Cup thread bother you?

Why wouldn’t it?

Thanks for letting me know. Appreciated.

What about lazy stereotyping of entire cultures? Is that interesting?
