Thought he was ok tbh. Strong in the air and bags of pace. Goes a long way in this division. Good enough if we want to truly progress, but ok for this season

I thought Hogan looked reasonably lively. I thought Burke looked dangerous when he was played in. QPR were better than I expected, well organized athletic and decent skills. The division is hard and it's not that easy to win games.

QPR played ok I agree. Sadly though, other than
one good lay off, I can’t remember anything Hogan did to contribute to our performance in a positive way. It is a hard decision. Thought Burke was better tonight than the other night.

What do you want people to say he played great

Didn’t you know it’s all Hogans fault? Apparently every chance he misses is a “sitter” and goalkeepers never make a good save against him. He is the worst striker to ever ever ever play football and if he never played For us again we would win the league

Just a ridiculous decision by John 'DvB' Useless to change the attacking players tonight. Miyoshi and Stansfield combined fantastically on Tuesday and yet both start in different positions tonight to accommodate a striker who has scored once from open play in 11 months

Hogan yet again barely touches the ball, doesn’t effect the game in any way, and when we put the ball on a plate for him he misses a sitter

I dont think John 'DvB' Useless changed the team to accommodate Hogan.

Dembele, Anderson and Burke are clearly not fit, Miyoshi can't play 90 minutes, Stansfield is probably the only attacker capable of doing 90 minutes but he said himself that he prefers to play behind a striker and showed in the first half that he can effect the game from there.

It was the 3rd game in 6 days so its the managers job to work with his squad, and he knows the condition of the squad better than anyone. Thats why Burke came on for Anderson over Dembele.

If everyone was fit, then our best option is to play a front 4 and forget about a striker. Big if though, all the exciting players we've signed have more than their fair share of injury problems, thats why we were able to sign them in the first place.

So yeah, Hogan doesnt fit the system/is crap (delete according to taste) but its a bit simple to say he changed the team to accommodate him.

Also, I thought QPR were quite good, much better than I expected and certainly better than Preston. Id have thought that having spent 12 years in this league we'd have all have worked out by now that a poor league position doesn't necessarily mean youre going to turn a team over.

I think tonight seals the case, Hogan shouldn’t be anywhere near a Championship starting 11. How many points has he cost us already this season? The sooner he’s out the door the better.

He literally played Stansfield and Miyoshi in different positions to Tuesday when they were both fantastic

100% this. Miyoshi and Stansfield were a joy to watch linking up on Tuesday so why the actual feck did he move them both to bring nine touch Hoganonymous back in. Is he looking for a P45

Stansfield and Miyoshi were fantastic v Preston …And yet we still lost.
The constant over reaction on here when we don’t win is a joke. 3 games in six days means we have to rotate players and it’s even more difficult when we have so many players either injured or not match ready. So Hogan has to play games because he is one of only 2/3 strikers we have. He’s finished top scorer for us every season he’s been here so get a grip for gods sake. Of course we need to replace him and Juke at some point but it’s just not possible yet. So stop the lynch mob act and let’s just get behind him- hope he finds some confidence and scores a few goals until we can afford to buy better. Stansfield had 2 or 3 chances tonight and didn’t score but he’s not the scapegoat I suppose.

Like I’ve said our best number 9 and best number 10 both moved out of position to accommodate Hogan just didn’t make any sense from the start. They looked really good together and in their respective positions last game, so what does John 'DvB' Useless do…moves them both and they become passengers to add to the passenger upfront.

I have to agree with a previous reply to your comment.
Sorry but I simply can't see what you saw in that match to say that Hogan looked lively

Are you surprised? What does Hogan offer now?

He presses.

Remember, we don't count goals scored as a measure of a Striker's effectiveness. All he or she has to do is run around a lot. This has been told to us by the usual suspects on the board.

Stansfield wasnt a passenger.
