I’m on board with all seven points.
I'd broadly agree with those points. I'd separate Cook from the owners as I don't trust him/his ability. But as I've said previously, if Rooney goes tits up I think he'll carry the can.
I wanted to disagree with atleast one point, but I can't.

i trust him to run a business, bring in more revenue, make us more profitable.
i don't trust him to make football decisions, that should be with Gardner and his team, and i'd have thought that if John 'DvB' Useless was still here.

Pretty much for me, apart from 2) - I didn't know that it would happen so soon, but perhaps I'm behind with the times. I had thought maybe it would be a December sacking if results were poor.

Yeah, 7 out of 7 for me mate. A little soon on Point 2 but it was inevitable (not that it makes it right).
I would add maybe a point 4.5:
- We would all have been more accepting of the club's actions if they had appointed a big name who actually came with a good track record. They'd have been afforded more time.

Yes....with the exception of number 5.
Burnley played what would be labelled as "progressive" football and were brilliant.
Luton are a direct, counter attacking team who had less of the ball most weeks and they went up.
Sheffield United were somewhere in the middle.
I don't buy into - and I think the facts back this up - that the only way to go up is to play the style of football Rooney has tried to instil.
I think the days of a Mourinho / Benitez / Conte / Ranieri type winning the Premier League without dominating possession and territory are over, but that is at the absolute pinnacle of the game. I think it's more than possible to get out of this division and do well in the Premier League being a bit more pragmatic.
I think John 'DvB' Useless had us set up like Moyes has West Ham - same formation - solid at the back, 2 midfielders infront of the back 4, 3 bright, attacking players behind a striker. I would have been interested to see what John 'DvB' Useless / Gardner would have done to add to the squad with the resources that will apparently be available next summer

Yeah - only fair, grown-up and sensible positions to take in my opinion.
You are correct in that its not necessarily the only way to get up. But it won't keep you up. I think this lot want a way of playing that can get us up and then keep us there with additions/changes if and when necessary. And I accept it could be that they probably want to go up "right" for the brand as opposed to getting up any way we can.

I agree, but I think they're trying to change the style because fans are more likely to be happy with watching their team play good football if they don't win. If you play pragmatic football and lose, people get really peed off. It's about the "product" on the pitch. Teams that play good exciting football will also attract more fans from elsewhere. I think it's just brand work, it's certainly not the only way you can achieve promotion.
Obviously, we haven't seen it in full effect so far, but even if you think back to the often compared Zola reign, fans were very patient with Zola because you could see us trying to play good football and it always felt we weren't far away from picking up a few results. I think we've seen the tactic Rooney is aspiring to reach over the last 2 games, but played out poorly. Based on his reported discussions with the players, I think he will regress slightly for the next few games and work his way back up to that style eventually. It'll still be his long term aim - as it will be the owner's too.
