It's actually a pretty good solution to a problem I suppose. People are dickheads, what's the bigger issue - people getting hit on the head with a coin because of the odd tw@ or the vast majority of sane minded people don't get to take change in.

The vast majority of people don't pay cash anymore so banning coins is the sensible option.
