I thought we were poor in the 80's and saw some awful games home & away but thank god I didn't have to experience it in the 60's looking at those run of results during that decade

I remember that run of away games in 78-79 and relegation under Jim Smith, still some decent players in that side as well. Think we drew 1 early in the season away and won the last game of the season away and lost the rest of them and we weren't much better at home. Basically we were Bottom or one off the bottom for nearly the whole season.

Well I remember 1978/9 very well and didn’t we lose 18 away games in a row, not just 9? We drew the second away game at Bolton, won the last one at QPR and lost all the others?

I’m sure someone will correct me if my memory of that miserable season is not accurate!

I remember winning at ayresome park in November and didn’t win again away from home till April the following season when we stuffed Notts county 4-2

I went to every one of the 11 straight defeats in 93/94, punctuated by draws at Ayresome Park and the Baseball Ground. Sorry to shed doubt on your stats.

Ouch
And nearly all by one goal. Including 7 away defeats in a row (and 12 out of 13).

I think 1985=86 was worse in many ways.
16 points from 9 matches.
3 more wins all season.
4 months without a win, 5 without a home win.
It was horrible. I went to them all. The hope at the end of the season was very cruel.

Slightly before my time as a regular attendee, but no less awful.
I think Forest won the title when they beat us at St Andrews. Or at least made it all but a mathematical certainty.
