Looking forward to the Manchester Derby in a few minutes.
1699 there today including a decent few from Durham. Think the last game was only about 800 or so.
There is always a good mix of people at the Woman’s games but today there were lots more Asian children in the crowd so don’t know if there was some sort of promotion going on in the schools. Majority of them seemed to be girls and were quite into it which was good to see.
They were much the better side and could easily have won by three or 4 the penalty was out of the blue but could have made it an edgy last 10 minutes. Plus 12 added on .
They really should expand the WSL from just 12 teams. Could probably be looking at crowds of 5,000 if we were up there.
Over two thirds of the Kop seats were open. Owners have done a good job in only a few months. Hopefully the Rooney appointment gets some traction we have had enough negativity the last decade or so.
I watched on YouTube, good attacking football with what sounded like good support.
The other results couldn't have gone much better either with 2 points now covering the top 5 which from where they were after the first few games is an amazing turnaround.
