There was Horts also Maxwells Plum at the bottom of Broad Street.

Not really my scene but saw The Pistols there in October '76 (had to play under the pseudonym of 'Substitute' to avoid bans and cacellation - this was the SPOTS tour - Sex Pistols On Tour Secretly)
I was close! Worked round there for about 7 years, think I went in there once.
Whereas Alberts near Dale End was a regular haunt for a year or so, until my then (mental) mrs had a fight with my female boss in there after work and I never felt like going back...
