It is becoming more obvious with every game under Rooney that this squad of players is at its best when we play with a number 10 behind a striker.

The 4 2 3 1 formation allows for this and in my opinion we aren’t setting ourselves up correctly for this squad.
Stansfield is easily the best striker at the club and the fact he is having quiet games is because he is being isolated.
The fact we drew last night might be enough for people to accept things are okay. This squad is okay, it is not a bottom 5 squad. Rooneys lack of ability to get the best out of them makes him the wrong man for the job.
Just my thoughts but last night was a shocker, something has to change.
