Not surprising when you look at their track record

Rohl was Assistant Manager at Bayern and the German national team in his early 30’s whereas Rooney has had 2 managerial jobs and failed in both

Most do. Eustace. Bowyer. Karanka. Clotet etc etc

It is not surprising when you appoint an experienced and credible manager. We have appointed a manager who has no proven track record, is a poor man manager, is not a tactician and is not a motivator of players. Mr Cook needs to admit he got the appointment wrong and seek a credible replacement as soon as possible. If Mr Cook doesn't, then he is another person who is out of his depth.

...JFC, the posts get more ridiculous as the night wears on 😤

Cook is pretty much solely to blame for this.

If he won't sack Rooney then Wagner should be sending Gary and Wayne packing together and they can go and con the next club into giving them a gravy train to ride.
They certainly don't. I spoke with numerous football fans from all teams as soon Mr Rooney was appointed and they were all unanimous that it would not work.

Where had Eustace failed before he came to Blues?

And Bowyer, Karanka and Clotest come to think of it?
“Oh Nikola Zigic”

Rooney didn't fail at Derby, and general consensus at DC United was that they were about par in relation to financial clout in the MLS.

He's failing at Birmingham City though.

If Cook had appointed a 34 year old who had never managed a club before I’m sure he would have been given the warmest of welcomes.

FWIW there’s a good article on Rhol in The Athletic. Barry Bannon reckons he’s the best manager he’s ever had.

As with everything, time will tell.

Sheffield Wednesday, widely regarded as by for the worst team in the division have amassed ten points more than us since the Albion game. At the current rate they will be well past us by March.

That leaves Rotherham, Huddersfield and QPR to stay above. Gonna be a nail biting ride. Hope Mr Cook is ready for it, we’ve all done it before ad nauseum.

Not sure either of those claims are correct TBH.

Gerrim in.

Rohl, that is. Not Bannan.
