Absolutely bang on of course Cook is going as will Brady and Wagner - just not yet. Cook will be allowed to make a mistake you don't be successful unless you push the boundaries and when you do that you will inevitiably get it wrong sometimes. That is why the next boss will go through a complete proper process as he can't afford to get it wrong again.
Doubt it. At that level they expect to make errors of judgement, they just move on and don't worry about it.
Otherwise they'd never go in for a second day in the role.

We need him to lead the football club as a whole. It's clear from the Open House stuff they put on Youtube that he is overseeing change in every department of the club. His mistake was to give his mate a job as manager when a) he was nothing but a failure who was obvioulsy going to fail again b) we were doing well on the pitch and there was harmony amongst the fans.
His football people (Gardner et al) should be leading the search for the new manager and Cook should be told in no uncertain terms that he doesn't make decisions like that again, but it's daft to say he should go
