The Girona story continues to be incredible. Proper free scoring brilliance.

Heard somewhere that if they finish in a Champions League place they won’t be allowed in because they have the same owners as Man City - however if they finish higher than Man in their respective leagues, it will be City who miss out

They might not miss out I think. There has been a precedent elsewhere where someone was allowed.

..yeah great story so far, although the BBC don't seem to think they exist, if you look at the La Liga table on the BCC there is no click through for Girona, 2nd in the league, 10 points clear of Atletico (who they beat 4-3 tonight) and Barcelona 😤

Villa also one.

Agreed, hardly remarkable with them as owners.

Well if you look at it with any degree of detail it really is.

They’re in with Real and Barca. Atletico too. What they’re doing is incredible

And regularly have seven goal games.

Wage bill is a tiny fraction of the big teams.

B6 had to reduce their stake in Vitoria, i'm sure there will be a way around it but could be more problematic the longer Girona stay challenging

I have faith in UEFA to successfully fudge their way around any issue, provided City Group make a few cosmetic changes to their arrangements.

I do have some sympathy for UEFA on things like this. They have to be very wary of being open to lawsuits and are up against much wealthier entities than them.
