Think he is suggesting it's someone we could have signed that's made an impact at club with less money than us. We should have signed a striker, is another way of looking at it

Don’t think I’m being funny here, but do you actually know what Gardner’s job role is?
I’ve been critical of Gardner in the past and I think it’s worth noting that a lot of the scouting for players and recruitment has other people responsible now - McParland, Carnall officially and Park and Rigg when they’re finally confirmed for a start.
And we’re bringing in better players for them being here.
