All this manager talk got me thinking of a best Blues team of ex managers. I reckon the below line up would stave off relegation;

Merrick

Rowett. McLeish. Bruce. Cooper

Rednapp. Mackay. Zola. Bowyer

Francis. Rooney

I'm not so sure. Many of those are either really old or dead.

Didnt Bobby Charlton say something similar, when asked how the 1966 team would have got on against the Englang womens team.
He predicted the 66 team would win 1-0. When he wa asked if it would be that close he said
Theres only 7 alive and the rest are over 75

Quality line up, I’d probably play a diamond in midfield or 3 up to as Zola was far more of a number 10. Most of that team had a real touch of class but could mix it as well

Are we talking 2020s refereeing? If so any team including Cullis and Mackay isn't going to have 11 on the pitch by halftime.
