All this manager talk got me thinking of a best Blues team of ex managers. I reckon the below line up would stave off relegation;
Merrick
Rowett. McLeish. Bruce. Cooper
Rednapp. Mackay. Zola. Bowyer
Francis. Rooney
I'm not so sure. Many of those are either really old or dead.
We could have the Atari 6 a side champions from this season

Didnt Bobby Charlton say something similar, when asked how the 1966 team would have got on against the Englang womens team.
He predicted the 66 team would win 1-0. When he wa asked if it would be that close he said
Theres only 7 alive and the rest are over 75

Dennis Law definitely said something similar when asked if the 1968 Man Utd European cup winnining team would be the team the 90ās.

Can make a team without using any of those too;
GK - Jim Barron
RB - Ramsey
CB - Cullis
CB - Mowbray
LB - Hughton
LM - Macari
CM - Clark
RM - Karanka
LF - Fry
RF - Black
CF - Saunders
Subs
Def - Venus
Mid - Carsley, Monk
For - Trevor Morgan, Steve Cotterill

Quality line up, Iād probably play a diamond in midfield or 3 up to as Zola was far more of a number 10. Most of that team had a real touch of class but could mix it as well
Are we talking 2020s refereeing? If so any team including Cullis and Mackay isn't going to have 11 on the pitch by halftime.

Would be if Rooney or Zola was player/manager.
