New to the forum but had a burning thought. Is there any set of permutations that would see both Blues and Norwich needing just a draw on the final day? Maybe that ship has sailed after yesterday’s result. Thought it would make for an interesting/controversial last game.Does anyone remember if this has happened before in the Football League. Cheers
If we draw next week then a point would be enough against Norwich to definately finish above Huddersfield as our goal difference is some much beter

If we draw both of our games then Sheffield Wednesday would need 5 points from their remaining three games to finish above us...again because of our better goal difference.

If Blackburn lose today dont write them off as their last two games are against Coventry and Leicester.

We ultimately missed a massive chance yesterday to save ourselves
Blue couldn’t make it up!

If Sheff Weds win today and lose next week, theyd be on 47 pts

If we win next week we'd be on 49 pts and a draw would keep us up on GD.

If Hull picked up 4 points from their next two (Coventry and Ipswich) theyd be on 70 points. If Norwich lose to Swansea next week they'd stay on 72 points, then a point against us would secure them a play off place on GD.

Really interesting, everyone assumes you want Norwich to be guaranteed play offs by next week so they don't have anything to play for, but actually there might be a scenario where we want them to need 1 point.

Think they might decide in that scenario that the best way of ensuring 1 point is to play for a win, unlike the way some managers approach the opportunity when it presents itself.

That's fine if you have the players to play that way. Which we don't. As evidenced by our results under Rooney.
