I pick Clonakilty Black Pudding with some white alongside.

Clonakilty black pudding is the only answer.

Bury black pudding is horrendous in comparison.

Honourable mention to Simon Howie black pudding

Homemade black pudding made by someone from St Lucia, for example is unlike anything you can buy from your local shop.

It’s very spicy for those who like a bit of a kick.

Not sure about supermarket stuff but a butcher near where I used to work in Tewkesbury did Cumbiran style square black pudding which was amazing. chunky and quite soft but crisped up good.

Stornoway stuff is overrated IMO. Too dry.

Definitely one to avoid IMHO is Simon Howie Black Pudding. Had 4 slices of it recently from ASDA. Weird taste contains apple he dirty barstewards and some weird spices just didn't taste right at all

I don't know how they get away with selling the Bury one. It is atrocious.

At the risk of starting a class war, Waitrose sell black pudding in packs of four slices, and it is really good.
