Cheapest ticket £70 for an adult STH... Holy shit.
I hope Wagner sticks to his mantra of not raising ticket prices when we're back being more successful, because that sort of pricing is the death of football
If we get to the stage where we are selling out the new place regularly, then those prices will follow

It really isn't the death of football.
The idea is to maximise your revenues whatever level of football you're playing at.

In spirit it absolutely is. When you can still get fairly well priced tickets to see some one of the best players in world football and you have clubs like Villa charging £70 cheapest adult STH it's a disgrace and I'd say the exact same if we started doing it.
For comparison, Newcastle's were between £30-£55, Arsenal's UCL home league matches are included with season tickets, Liverpool's range from £30-£60, City's go from £37.50-£70.
You cannot defend that pricing from Villa, it's an absolute disgrace and I reiterate that I hope we don't follow the same path

This. You don't get to be a big/successful club and have cheap/reasonably priced tickets. Not in an era where half-decent players can get £350k p/wk.
I don't think it would work for the Bristol Street Motors trophy.

You're right. It is the death of a certain type of football fan, however. Namely, those who don't earn a great deal of money.
I know where you're coming from but I'd bloody love to pay £70 to watch Blues in the CL.

Yet away tickets in the Premier League are capped at £30.
I'm not gonna mince my words on this.
It's an absolute feckin disgrace, horrible.
I promise you I would never pay that at Blues.
I think it is effing hilarious.
Club knows they ain’t gonna be in the Champions League again any time soon so are fleecing those DVBs for every last penny they can to see them lose two/three games out the four (at least).
I think my Carling Cup final ticket was £70. Not even the most expensive available and that was 14 seasons ago.

There's this as well. Astonishingly expensive.

This. If people are prepared to pay it....
