If they know you’re all linked it’s odd they wouldn’t have some key account manager for you. That said if you book again with them next year it doesn’t matter to them, anyway.
Don’t give up and remain persistent and they will submit.
It took my brother in law a week of persistently calling the head office before they gave in.
It pretty much is the case in the travel business that if anything goes wrong travel companies are very resistant to paying the compensation they are required to by law. They do it by mostly ignoring any contact and being extremely difficult to contact. I’ve personally lost money through not being able to obtain compensation for extra expense and inconvenience with booking.com and KLM recently, my family with other travel companies and airlines. It’s pretty much the strategic approach and the companies bank on people giving up.
The rail companies have a better process in that they just seem to cough up but then they don’t seem to give a feck about anything. Yet again travelling down to London a few days ago the train was cancelled and we were forced to travel on a horrendously overcrowded service (which was then late).
Yes you’re right.
Seems that complacency has set in.
Reading other customer reviews there’s a fair amount of concern about their track record.
Perhaps they do need a jolt 👍

Yep …. dog with a bone now 👍
I guess ultimately it’s up to us , the customers , to force change in that industry. But How and for how long ?
generalBlueI’m chasing a refund for a cancelled excursion due to adverse weather during a recent trip to Spain.
Their anti customer service defences have been at full throttle since their cancellation. It’s only 100 quid ‘ish but their lack of interest makes me even more keen to get customer satisfaction. I’ve completed a Barclaycard refund claim but am determined to get a satisfactory response from Tui directly. As a group we spend 38k every year with them so it’s disappointing that they can’t be arsed.
Their Director of Customer Experience is Sue Bradley. Can anyone offer advice on how best to get her or her PA or her department to respond.
An email address or a direct line phone number would be a start but their ivory tower seems watertight ??
Its not just Tui fella; it seems that CS in this country has well and truly gone. Speaking to someone can be nigh on impossible, and when you do you can not understand them. They make it difficult to get in touch on purpose and something neds to be sorted but it won't as no one really gives a rats arse anymore. I fear for what the UK will be like in 10 years time.
Tui are unbelievable. We were recently delayed by 43 hours coming back from Mexico.
We had two aborted trips to the airport. The first one we’d got airside and were just about to board.
The two reps were hung out to dry by their management
They had to fly out a thingummyjig with an engineer from Luton to fix it and he brought the wrong part.
The first delay at the airport was announced as an engine fault. When announcing it, no word of a lie, they said they would “Turn the engine off and turn it on again to see if it works” That was met by the sound of apoplexy and shitting pants.
There was 7 of us but we eventually got our £520 each compo though, after a battle.
Charcy38k? What’s the group and how many of you are there?
The Budley Salterton Mountain Goat Botherers Society (Chelmsley Wood Chapter). Bi-annual trips to Spain, I believe. General is the Grand Wizard, organises the travel and lube.
That's about 3 trips for a 12-16 member golf society I reckon.
It can’t be just ‘this country’ though can it? Most of the companies mentioned are foreign/international. I doubt they treat their customers in other parts of the world any differently, other than the very wealthy ones.
I had a very similar issue with tui earlier this year.
Only way I could resolve it was to threaten to take them to the small claims court. Just need to follow instructions on below link, i got an answer and refund in less than 24 hours after submitting. Hope it helps
