I was in Buenos Aires at the time of the rearranged game in Madrid.
On the day of the final, I had done the Boca tour, brought the kids a kit, had photo at the Alberto Tarantini wall and fully expected the city to be rocking.
But as (the wealthy, upper middle class) River Plate won, the atmosphere was limited to a few fireworks after full time.
