I don't think Burnley are that bad.

I have not seen them play many times this season but when I have, the defending was worse than awful, an absolute disgrace. The midfield looks ok and they do create chances up front but Burnley's forwards couldn't hit a barn door.

Sounds like blues.

Full list is here.

Not happened sine 1987. Mansfield came close the other week.

Had Arsenal to score 5 at 9/2.

I thought that was generous as Arsenal would see this as a game to rack up their goal difference but I never thought it would be done before half time

As a matter of interest, only one club has ever scored double figures away from home in a league match.

Sheffield United.

In what? The history of the Football League? There’s no way that’s true.

Yes it is... English Football league / Premier.

It is. Scoring double figures is very rare. No one has done it in the Premier League.

But it has happened in top division...

Record win in top division: 12–0, joint record:
West Bromwich Albion 12–0 Darwen (First Division, 4 April 1892)[41]
Nottingham Forest 12–0 Leicester Fosse (First Division, 21 April 1909)

Most double figure league wins by a team: 5, Birmingham City (12–0 v Walsall, 17 December 1892; 10–2 v Manchester City, 17 March 1894; 10–1 v Blackpool, 2 March 1901; 12–0 v Doncaster Rovers, 11 April 1903; 11–1 v Glossop, 6 January 1915) (all Second Division)

What's your point?... we are talking about records that exist... they do.

And the ones cited are the records - there will be other high scores below those.

Yes, i know it's not recent... but then we were discussing history not recent.

Just shows the sheer gap you have to bridge when you go up.

Indeed

Trusty, Hamer and Archer isnt exactly going to help much with that though

I remember the 7-0 win at Stoke. At the end of the match I was annoyed that we stopped playing for about 20 mins after 5-0, and could have easily hit 10.

Bunch of jokers. I had arsenal 6-1 at 50/1. Why couldn't they just let them score

I wonder if there's any chance of getting Trusty in the summer

Don’t effing want him. If we stay up should be aiming for better. Looked very very poor at prem level. Surely there is better out there tbh
