He did but look at the state of Derby to us and also he was trying to get into the world cup squad for the end of that season.
He can give us one season. Make him captain at centre half, he's the best player in league one

My main concern is who the manager is going to be.
I wish Big Tony all the best for his recovery, I hope and pray his health improves, but I cannot see him being our manager going forward, he needs to prioritize his health, it may be too much pressure, who knows.
It's a bit obvious, but we need to make the right desisions, keep, and bring in the right people.
For me, theres two people I dont want anywhere near Blues future, Cook and Sanderson.
I don't think Cooks decisions have been in the best interests of Birmingham City Football Club, and Sanderson, to have done what he did, again was not in the interests of BCFC.
I think we should build around the youngsters, JJ, Hall, Chang, etc, please, no journey men for Division 1, build for the future, like Ipswich have done, two consecutive promotions, I don't know too much about how many youngsters they have but I do know they haven't spent that much, andthey've built from within.
Bottom line, we need to get promoted ASAP.
I just hope that Wagner and Knighthead keep their interest, and plans in getting Blues utimately, in the Prem.
