We all saw what happened to our game once juke came on. The press stopped and we looked worse.
Hogan isn’t great but he’s the better option of the two as it stands.
But Stansfield is the better option of the three.

Exactly. He’s a bloke with major confidence and anxiety issues. Only a psychopath or Lee Bowyer would do anything other than try to lift him in this situation.
John 'DvB' Useless has some weaknesses but I get the impression he’s very good at managing people.

Well i'm happy so far .... it's almost as if we've got a decent jigsaw amongst the entire squad and we just need some pieces shiftin etc - some mistakes have been made. But considering we had to bring in about a dozen players and have to satisfy FFP AND our three highest massive salary players (Hogan, Juke and Sunjic) are all going to be off the books at the end of the season (obviously Sunjic may yet stay if he can take a massive salary decreese) then i think the level of performance has increased massively and it's much much better to watch.
Because of FFP, because we have replaced a load of loan signings with permanent signings, because it's going to take time for it all to settle i thought most were agreed that this season most fans were looking for consolidation and a solid mid-table finish without having to dismantle the whole squad again at the end of the season when loan players left.

IF you're going to be that sort of striker who does absolutely eff all with the ball other than score when presented with a chance, you best actually score the chance when it comes.

I'm not wasting my breath on this any more, it's the same argument every week. He's absolutely dreadful. It's not his fault he's not remotely suited to this team or setup, it's the manager's fault for picking him and the club's fault for not replacing him.
I will continue to support him on the pitch but I can't wait until he's replaced.

I am simply referring to the actual chance, people are acting as if he ballooned it over the bar, the keeper saved it with his toe.

That's a really good point, I agree with. But it's another glaring miss that has cost us 2 points, to go with the penalty miss v Milwall (another 2 points?) I'll ignore the Watford miss(es) because that was not an easy chance, but he seems incapable of getting any elevation on his shots.
Until Tyler Roberts is fit again, I think we have to start with Stansfield up top, even though it's not his natural position. He's also good on the press. Worked well at Preston so I can't understand why John 'DvB' Useless changed it.
It was a poor finish though. As if he just wanted to get it on target.
And 9 touches in 70 minutes is a disgrace.
The myth of his “hot streaks” live on though I see. He has short spells of form followed by extremely long periods of drought. And when he does so little else to effect the game it makes it look like we are playing with 10
