Great post. Can't disagree with a word of it .

Fact is , we're stuck with Rooney now , like it or not ( and I don't , one bit )

BUT

Colossal mistake or not , I just can't bring myself to not get behind him or the team , however short sighted this turns out to be.

I actually dont, I have not been brainwshed by the "world class" rubbish, we are an average champioship team, we will never be serial winners and tust me i think Coventry City within 5 years, hopefully i am wrong but i dont think i will be

90% of the problem is timing. Eustace won his last two games if they were lost there would be nowhere near the noise.

Saying that I think for whatever reason the announcement was made earlier than they planned. It would have made sense for Rooney to have a bit of a break after the MLS season and I would have thought that was the idea.

Eustace may have won a couple more but more likely not. The powder should have been kept dry longer.

Whatever I’ll back Rooney he’s the manager of my club. He’s been put under more pressure than need be and a lot of goodwill the new owners earned has been lowered. Results are everything in football and a couple of wins are badly needed sooner than later to calm everything down.

I think you and the previous poster may have missed a 'not' in the other person's comment.

They said - 'I just can't bring myself to not get behind him or the team'

People are so quick to lay into each other on this forum since Eustace was sacked, particularly if they think somebody is critical of what's happened at the club. It's like a pitchfork wielding mob.

Rosenior is bigging him up again n The Times today. He also claims that the best managers are socialists. I’d disagree with that. The best people are socialists.
😘👍

I’d agree with you but then we’d both be wrong…
Would we feck. Me and Buddha are always right young man

See the wording in bold. There is presenting things as fact.

If you were to change the way you word things I think people would be less confrontational.

If you were to say ‘currently we are an average championship team and I don’t think we will ever be serial winners and could actually get worse’ that’s an opinion.

The way you word it is as a fact and if people don’t agree with a fact they are automatically wrong, hence why you get such a vigorous response to a lot of your comments.

Plus he never bothers and/or is unable to explain why he’s got those opinions. Everybody has a ‘right’ to an an opinion but nobody has a ‘right’ to not have the validity of their opinion evaluated, and in the absence of any rational explanation, for others to judge them cobblers.

I'm not to sure cook had too much say on this. The yanks love celebrities as this leads to better sponsorship and TV coverage.
It's what they do and it generates money for new players and a new ground.
But only if it works.
They have my full support for this. For now.
Happy to be mid tablet until they can buy new players in January.
