Looks like I’ve got a busy shop at the weekend buying all these recommendations 😅
In the opinion of a certain consumer organisation the best crisps are:
Best Buy: Co-op 'Irresistible' Hand Cooked Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Crisps – 74%
Supermarket own brands ranked higher than the famous brands.
Brannigans Roast beef & Mustard
Brannigans Smoken ham & Pickle
Walkers max strong Hot chicken wings
madSeabrooks Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce crinkle cut crisps
Perfect crisp sandwich accompaniment with cheese
I once bought my wife a retail box of them for her birthday. She still says that are my best present to her in the 35 years we've been together. Not sure if that is a testament to how good Seabrooks are or how crap my presents generally are...come to think about it the kids might not be impressed by her opinion either...
Roast lamb and mint source are a favourite but all the main manufacturers only seem to make them as occasional special flavours. I know Seabrooks and Yorkshire make them but they’re rarely seen in the shops here on the IOM.Walkers last made them for their Sensations range as a special for the coronation but sadly discontinued them.
