Also really knows his keepers, reeled off loads of ours, even mentioning Gill Merrick.

I agree - His knowledge about us was bloody amazing, and he kept the conversation going. Very easy for him to say yes mate you spotted me now f off and leave alone. But he just kept giving his opinions on our old goalies and who he was mates with. He brought up the Horse and I mentioned I bumped into a few weeks ago buying clothes the holiday. So he the starts asking me about him. Bloke with a Man U top on behind just looking completely confused.

He’s right though. We’re further away from then now than we were under bshl, and that’s with new progressive owners, a potential new stadium, and supposed better infrastructure. That takes some doing doesn’t it.
I sat opposite him on the train to Watford earlier in the season. Lovely bloke. Even offered me a lift in his taxi to Vicarage Road.
