Mr Miyagi and the X-Men
...you could only buy Season Tickets up until the kick off of the Wigan game, they were taken off sale thereafter.

I know now but I was in hospital for a couple of weeks prior to that and not able to take anything in the outside world in sadly.

But what is one single good reason for having a cut off? It's just bizarre.

I remember when half season tickets never existed. You either bought one pre season or you never had one. And that pro rata thing we did last season... that can't have been going long ? I could swear a couple of years back it was full or half.

The pro rata thing has been done in the past at times.

Because there becomes a point where the financial benefit of having one is eradicated, perhaps?

And then people would moan

Them why sell half season tickets?

For the same reason I posted above. They'll have a deadline as well. If it just goes down game after game less people will buy them. You need to create scarcity to appeal to human nature.

Well the wife's happy, I've saved £1500 quid which she is now blowing on a holiday!

If ten people bought them before the deadline that wouldn't have done if there wasn't a deadline then you not buying one is still a worthwhile situation to be in.

So we would need to know whether there was an uptick in purchases.

It's because by putting a deadline it pushes more people to get off the pot and buy one rather than putting it off.

I agree with that, but to them not sell them at all just staggers me.

Hello Mr Cook, here is £1,500 for three of those 6000 available seats you have.
Mr. Cook - no thank you...
Just weird

The 7,500 home match day tickets seem to be selling quite well at POTD prices. So perhaps that's influenced their decision to withdraw the cheaper pro rata ST's.

Seriously it's high publicity games that will take us to the next level. The owners need stuff like this to get us more known in foreign markets. The more hype and spotlight the better.

And that's fair enough, but can they sell them on a cold night in January against stevenage? 😁

There has always been a limit on season ticket numbers. It was around 22,500 when we first reached the prem. can’t imagine Gullivan and co wouldn’t have sold them all if possible but I guess charging high matchday prices was more appealing.
Pretty sure there must be some rules on numbers though.

effing hell Rab, they can just about work how to post tickets, can you imagine far Claire trying to pro-rata season ticket prices

Not sure what they are. But looking at other clubs that have reached their 'cap' this season, like Mansfield, Stockport, Wolves, Ipswich... it seems to be around 2/3 of capacity.
With our capacity now looking like 28,500, I suspect we can't be far off our cap, based on other clubs figures. Might be around 500 available at Christmas as half season tickets ?

They will sort it but bloody hell, imagine if we were good in a bigger stadium with the current system 😂

Not many left for Wrexham now - maybe 300 or so.
Will ramp up the demand for half season tickets in Dec/Jan. Would have thought they may offer 500-1000 out in Dec for people to buy as Christmas presents??
