When Dembele played well he was a real handful, but getting him to play well consistently was the problem. He was a liability when he didnβt. Attacking players can be given quite a free rein if they are consistently threatening, and the best ones are.
I thought Dembele worked quite hard but it was all a bit random. I think his issue might be with his football brain rather than a lack of effort.

I think he was too much of a ball watcher for Davies - in the first game of the season he kept coming deep to collect the ball, hooked at half time for Hansson who stayed more advanced and kept tactical shape.
I would say there is a question mark due to bad hamstring he had this year, apart from workrate.
Blues definitely factored in injury record before green lighting this year.
I thought the lad from Wycombe was the outlet people were saying we needed.
I thought Poku struck the ball well last night but i don't know much else about him.
I got bought a book for my birthday by the mom in law - [www.waterstones.com]
It's an interesting book - you know the basics but things like initially not being able to rely on defenders stats and having to come up with different measures, all driven by the fact that Liam Ridgewell was statistically at the time one of the best rated defenders in Europe ππππ was interesting
But the overriding feeling after reading it was still that the eye test is the killer (no one was signed without being watched/video scouted) and that sometimes stats tell you stuff you already know without needing them (there is a description of how they measured Messi getting space, when anyone who has ever watched him play knows exactly how he does it - he never sprints unless its with the ball and otherwise just wanders into areas when he has space to receive).
Very dry in places as well when they talk about things like XG. 3.5/5
Nikola ZigicSpeaking to a West Brom fan yesterday who's pretty good on this stuff, he said it was virtually a done deal for them.
I'd like him at Blues.
If we wanted him there is no way West from would be outbidding us.
Did anyone else see that Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan goal last night gerrrrrrrrim
EFLAnalysis reckon we're in talks with Poku's agent but so are Crystal Palace, Luton, Norwich, Millwall and Rangers
Take it with the appropriate heapings of salt

Blues and Rangers supposedly after him, some of our fans wonβt know who to root for.
