I will belittle the third division because it is the third division. Teams and players are in it for a reason. The quality is poor. We’ve seen it all season. The odd and rare gem (and Poku may be one, may not) doesn't negate that.

Your suggestion/sentiment is that we shouldn’t be shopping there which is nothing short of ridiculous.
I mentioned three reasons before, the three this time are Toney, Bull and Lambert. I’ll keep adding names as to why shopping there can be just as good as in other markets.
(*the rare gem comment negates your argument btw)

You’re just making a fool of yourself now.
Well, we’ve had a season where every time someone plays well against us there are suggestions we should sign him. FB said Poku may be one of the
‘rare gems’ that we might want to look at, and rather than negating his point you actually underline by identifying a handful of players. I don’t think Poku or any of the attackers for them were that stand out yesterday, though they have pace. Their defenders were the more impressive performers. FB said Poku may be one of these rare gems - or he may not. We won’t tell until he plays as a higher level.
Since FB responded to my comment above, I'll just clarify it- if we don't sign him, one of our rivals will.
That's not to say I think we will, or even should, but Poku will definitely be playing for a championship club next season. If someone would like a wager on that, I'd bite their hand off.
What’s your opinion on the level he will reach?
I’m not calling for Poku because he’s played well in one or two games against us. I’m calling for him because I feel he’s the profile of player we need.
Quick, creative and skillfull. The fact that he’s a right winger who is left footed is my biggest attraction to him though because tactically I think that could work wonders.
At the very top of the game for me part of the reason Salah is such a threat is because of Trent and I would love to see that replicated.
I don’t think that should be discounted because he’s currently a league one player. The same wider net argument is what got us Thor and he has got quite a bit of adjusting to English football to do once he finally gets some rest this summer.
newblueWhat’s your opinion on the level he will reach?
Championship level.
So what’s your opinion of the level where he’ll end up?
Saying we should add pace to the team is not really a revelation is it.
Mo Salah and TTA. That’s a wild comparison.
Mr DriscollnewblueWhat’s your opinion on the level he will reach?
Championship level.
Where? As it’s pretty obvious we will want players capable of getting us out of the Championship, and I am assured on SHA (prior to yesterday, though I now believe we have to get rid/bin off) that we have a Championship team/squad.
We need players to get us out the champ but we also need a squad. Poku is absolutely good enough to be a bench player at minimum next year, even with an aim of playoffs.
He's young, and might well have the potential to become a top champ/lower prem player if he develops well.
I'd rather sign him than Kone.
Who knows? Depends who signs him. Could end up a squad player in a play off level team, or ever present lower down the table. As I said, I'm not suggesting we'll sign him, or should.

The comparison is tactically speaking only there’s no comparison otherwise. Davies ball at the moment depends on Laird on a fullback high and wide at least and that threat would be much greater if they had to worry about an inverted winger also.
Just as Trent’s threat is greater because teams have to worry about Salah and Salah’s threat is greater because they have to worry about Trent (obviously this most likely will not be the case next season)
His ceiling? I would say bottom of the premier league no higher but that should not be reason we don’t sign him as I’d say that the highest ceiling we’ve currently got if I’m honest. Mid table prem at a push.

I did think thor needed bit more time adjusting but it's gone past that. He hasn't got the attributes for the championship, his to slow and can never get the ball out his feet. Reminds me of a poor man's Andrew shinnie, with the attributes he has he would suit Scottish football.
