Might have been done so feel free to merge but what a stark contrast in our fanbase from the build up/travelling to Wembley versus inside the stadium.
One KRO before kickoff and a half arsed 'We're Birmingham' then nothing all game.
As soon as we kicked off and the bloke behind me tapped my shoulder for me to sit down. It's a cup final ffs! Was expecting Newcastle FA Cup-esque atmosphere.
I know Blues gave us nothing to sing about but if 50k fans can't make the atmosphere it won't help the players.
Yeah think it's been pretty unanimously agreed that the atmosphere was terrible yesterday.
Do wonder if everyone burned themselves out on the Saturday night and in the build up a little bit. That was certainly the narrative with Newcastle’s first carabao cup final two years ago. They were a bit more low key this year and were apparently twice as loud in the stadium compared to 2023.

Premature Adulation
I find Wembley Stadium is shite to try and create a good atmosphere anyway
Same here I wanted to stand all game but kept getting moaned at to sit down.

Maybe it’s because the kids behind you couldn’t see.
Unfortunately, like many larger modern stadia Wembley is naturally devoid of atmosphere. You also have the problem of regular supporters being dispersed throughout the stadium. There were a few different groups in my block who were constantly trying to get some singing going but it never really caught on.

I was in the 2nd tier and stood for majority of the game. Thought the atmosphere wasnt good at all but didnt know if that was due to where I was sitting.
It was fine where we were towards the back of the third tier. Clearly the performance affected the atmosphere, but I blame Peterborough too, hardly anything from them.
It is not just Wembley I think the atmosphere st St Andrews isn’t what it was, maybe I’m getting old, nostalgia after all isn’t what it used to be. But I just think our style of play draws us into just watching us dominate possession, grind teams down and eventually score. I think the crowd have just got a bit used to “ok you lot entertain me”. And have forgotten that they can actually influence the game.
I think it’ll improve again next year when there is actual jeopardy in the games.
I was surprised at how many sat down for the whole game too
As has been said elsewhere it just all felt a bit off yesterday once the game kicked off
I don’t think it’s exclusive to St Andrews either to be honest

I tried repeatedly and failed to get much going. Every song you start seems to fall out of sync when it gets to the next block and then dies out. And as mentioned, people who don’t know songs etc.
The atmosphere was poor because the team offered nothing yesterday.
I think there's a lot of things they could do to improve Wembley.
The standing areas clearly aren't big enough - especially if you aren't an OSC member. I think they could designate more blocks as family areas where there is no standing and more as not family areas where People won't be constantly asked to sit down.
I wasn't impressed that Peterborough has no level 5 or 6 tickets. Yet well over half our fans were in the upper tier.
Also the only beer was Stella at £6.80 a can. If they are going to charge £8.80 a pint they could at least make an effort with the beer
