GBlueAnyone who went to watch Blues there in the 70's may have a different opinion.
The only place I've been where Fans on the coach had their clothes nicked.
Hated them ever since.
Bit daft to base an opinion on a few. I've seen our lot robbing visiting supporters in Bull Ring in 80s. I would hope that doesn't reflect on the whole of Blues and the city of Bham
Yep and the sharpened coins they threw at the home fans...never liked them but they've always been the media's darlings because of their victims image...

Lived in North Liverpool for 3 years now and the people here are brilliant. A great community that look out for each other. Pathetic when they get labeled victims for a tragedy that took so many lives. People need to get a grip
MontagueTerraceInBlueAnd yet Liverpool only became a behemoth in the sixties because the abolition of the maximum wage meant money talked - and Liverpool had pools backing. When I was an impressionable youth, it was the Bill Shankly era at Liverpool and I found much to admire about them.
A socialist at the helm who had the ability to make the most mundane comments sound profound.
As people - as in, people that are actually from Liverpool - I don't mind them really, they're a bit like people from Birmingham. I'm not so much a fan of the 'Scouse, not English' rhetoric but that's because I don't understand it really.
As a football club - I loathe them and their fans - particularly the fans that have no link to Liverpool and know next to nothing about football - and I won't let go of the League Cup robbery nor the FA Cup humiliation. Anfield is overhyped for an atmosphere as well.
What's one of your opinion's that would encourage a pile on from fellow Blues fans.
I suppose the one i'd choose is the older i've got, i've grown to dislike the new generation of Blues fans coming through. I don't like the underage drinking in The George car park, I don't like their apparent entitlement because Blues are currently rubbish therefore they're tough now and have had it tougher than anyone before them.
I don't like their attitude and approach at away days. I don't like that it seeps into home games either.
Before a pile on happens:
I'm aware I'm being hypocriticial because I was very likely viewed in the same way by the generations before me and i'm aware that i'm most likely wrong. I'm also aware I have a borderline pensioners mindset when it comes to this.
I'm finding its most popular internet forum a little lacking in humour, whiny and easily outraged these days. It's a reflection of the average of its members I guess.

Personal opinion, but I do think people embellish their natural feelings online to be more visible. I don’t think people are anywhere near as hyperbolic in person and I’m hopeful that most are the kind I could happily have a pint with.

??
I'm confused
Heysel disaster was 1985
Hillsborough disaster was 1989
... but i remember Scousers being referred to a "victims" and having "a victim mentality" as far back as 1979 (in a non football related way) .... and i think it far pre-dates any football references
and since Evertonians are also Scousers and also labelled victims - then i'm also confused

Yes, that particular jibe predates Hillsborough by quite a few years.

I've just deep googled and found a reference to it being used in 1911 - which of course is the year Britain very nearly came close to a revolution and Churchill send troops into Liverpool and had gunships on The Mersey ready to shell Liverpool
