Onel Hernandezgerry1875So people thinking a manager change would suddenly change the team again, we need to get behind Rooney, we need stability, the players we have are simply not good enough for what he wants to bring, they only know one way to play and that's never going to be good enough, give him January and summer transfer windows, if it's still not working then make the change, until then it's carry on, we were never going to be promotion contenders this season and there is absolutely no way we will go down, if we keep chopping and changing managers all the time we may just as well have stuck with BSHL, I think Rooney will eventually get it right.
what in his managerial career suggests he will eventually get it right?
i didnt follow his previous clubs too closely but by all accounts, he hasnt turned around any teams
This. I don't get how people have turned on the players to save a manager with no evidence of success. If we'd just appointed Thomas Frank or Vincent Kompany, I'd get it. But there is nothing in Rooney's time at Derby or DC that points to a manager who has crafted a successful team that plays a fluid style of football.
These players are quite clearly good enough to be sitting comfortably in the top 10.
We aren't selling all the players we've just signed and bringing in a load more.
If world class wayne can't get a tune out of them, then he needs to go.
We shouldn’t be backing anything but players and manager combined. Back everything Birmingham City. Not doing so at games will only hinder not help. Some of the moaning/boos yesterday mainly from the Kop and Kop corner from where I was stood had me being sick in my mouth

How are you working out there’s no chance we’ll go down and there’s so much time for him to come good? There’s a chance we’ll be in the bottom 3 come the New Year on current trend and we’re tracking for 40 odd points based on his 5 in 8 games. If it doesn’t improve fairly quickly they’ll have to act, regardless of how much they say they back him (they’re hardly likely to say anything else are they?).

I think what Bluer is getting at though is there are several on here really keen to lay the majority of blame at the players’ doors rather than Rooney’s.
Plus the way Rooney is presenting it starts to turn it into this either/or because to support - say - Sanderson is the opposite of what he’s doing with his post-match comments. Surely that’s contributing a bit to the negativity, as there are now a handful of people booing Ruddy when the team is announced for example (which can’t be an ‘anti-Rooney’ thing surely?).
People seriously booed Ruddy when his name was announced?
I can't see what can be changed in this upcoming window with FFP restrictions. When he came in and changed the style of play I thought it's going to be tough for 3-4 games bedding in new tactics and, whilst uncomfortable about changing a manager that was getting a tune out of the team, understood the owners wanted their own man. After yesterday my patience has run out. I'm not at all convinced he was the right appointment and we need to at least make sure we're safe this season before it gets too late. If there's no improvement by the time we've played Bristol they'll really need to find another manager to steady the ship.

That may be true, but it's how people feel.
Rooney has no chance of turning those that are against his appointment round unless there's a remarkable improvement in results. As it stands we are going down unless something changes.

Which would be a daft bet given that I think they'll make a change if relegation looks even remotely possible.
They're ruthless.

"As it stands we are going down unless something changes"
Which it will.
No guarantee of that or we go down if it doesn’t tbf
