Think that was opportunistic rather than planned though. They saw that they didn't need to get BCC to pay for ours they could just lift the idea and take it to the Olympic Stadium.

BCC was never going to pay for a new stadium. When the Sands Resort proposal fell through their interest in Blues waned and off they trotted to West Ham once they'd fleeced Carson for £80m. I always felt they were eying up that opportunity of a stadium built for them.

Went in the cup game. I prefer Upton park to be honest.

To think that could have been us at the NEC
Sullivan and golds would have sold us down the river in exactly the same way

Instead they sold us down the river with Carson
