Just to add, in 57 we lost in the semi final to Man U. Would have been something playing them in the final.

Never seen it, it’s probably just materialised in my head as some false idea. Probably even more of an assault then. Just looked it up and Wood not only came back on, he went in goal for the last six minutes! Jackie Blanchflower went in goal for Man U, think he was Danny’s brother?

Younger brother. Was injured,at 24, in the Munich crash and never played again.
