I don't think the gulf is any bigger. This season the teams are a bit shit but I would say that Southampton and Leicester would probably stay up next season.
Plenty of teams go up and establish themselves.

Yeah I agree about Leicester and soton. It’s definitely getting bigger I’d say for teams like us though who have been out of the prem for a long time now.
