I don't get the constant comments about not getting away with pace and creativity in the Championship.
Burnley are 2nd and have played 25 games this season where they have scored less than 2 goals a game. 57 in total.
To an extent, they have been very similar to us this season.
So surely the aim should be to continue developing this style which is close to smashing league records? I am pretty sure players have been identified to strengthen and I really don't see why we would suddenly try and sign someone in the ilk of Poku (creative and pace) and then have to change the way we play.
Feck that
Yep we would be on at least 97 points now if they were not injured
RasputinSheev PalpatineYokoyama wasn’t good enough and I’m pretty sure he wanted to leave anyway
Who knows whether he was good enough, as we never saw enough of him.
But to let a direct, pacy & skillful winger leave after a few months when the alternatives were all injured wasn't a good decision for me.
I'm pretty sure someone said at the time that it wasn't a Blues decision and he wanted off?
I was told that by someone I know who is reasonably well connected to people at the club. I’m sure someone reliable on here posted similar but I might be getting mixed up
IanTDykes has been quite a big miss I think....more than the other two.
He was very effective just before his injury.[[/b]/quote]
when was he very effective? in which game?
Wrexham away.
He also scored a beauty v Lincoln.
Dykes looked poor at the start of the seadon, but he was very decent once he git a run in the side. He gave us more choices as to how we play. Disappointing it was such a bad injury he picked up at Reading.
And the winner to take us to Wembley.
And he was very effective in that 10 role before he got injured.

Nah, I'm not having that. He was better than he had been for a few games, and was starting to do OK. That was about it. He's got one league goal all season. Even if his all round play was awesome (which ut isnt) that goal tally should tell us all that he isn't good enough. We should move him on, even if it means covering 3/4 of his wages for a year or two. Release Juke, loan Dykes out and get two better strikers in over the summer.

The fact you can name the odd games where he did ok adds to my argument
He has scored the same amount of league goals as Juke. Enough said really

I thought we needed someone like him against Posh on Sunday. We looked much better when Juke came on and gave us more physical presence up front.
If we do get rid, I think we need an improved option who can play in the same mould.
I don't fancy either of them in the championship. Be interesting to see if Yokoyama comes back. Looks like a player with potential.

Not having what? You seem to be getting outraged at something I haven’t said.
I don’t want to keep him, we absolutely need better next season. He was also playing a lot better prior to his injury than when he first joined us and we absolutely have missed him as an option in games.

In what way does it add to your argument? Before he got injured he was a real asset to the team, giving us an option to play a different way as and when required.
Since he’s been injured we haven’t had that option and so we’ve missed him, I don’t see what’s so wrong with saying that.
