It comes down to context though doesn't it.

If we finish 6th but had been top 2 at Christmas in a bang average division and find ourselves clinging onto 6th after a dire run of form whilst Wrexham and Stockport finish 1st and 2nd then no. It will feel like a massive missed opportunity and a play-off we are unlikely to succeed in.

But if we have a season of adjustment where maybe some of our better players are less impressive at championship level or maybe we have a run of bad injuries and sneak into 6th then yes I would be delighted.

Take Walsall supporters - would they have taken 4th at the start of the season, I am sure they would but 3 months ago?
