If Bielik was to go and we didn't sign Davies permanently we'd be left with two centre backs.

Would we be able to sign a player as good as him for less money? I'd be surprised.

Bielik obviously wouldn't be sold in that scenario though.
Tell you what that crack is really moreish.

I think it will come down to Bielik personal decision.

Does he want to battle and fight for a place and have the self belief that he can win that battle in pre-season. If he lost that battle is he happy to be a second choice player and wait for another chance.

Or does he personally just want to play football and be the number one choice with less competition.

Captaincy will be an interesting choice ahead of the new season.

I think Klarer will be captain, but Bielik will stay and still have a role to play, possibly even forcing himself back into the starting 11. We have 2 extra spaces on the bench next season, so making a match day squad should be easier.

That said if somebody came with a good offer then we'd certainly give it consideration.

I reckon he stays. Could be Klarer off, bag £10m and have Bielik and Neumann at CB?

or a back three of Klarer, Bielik and Neumann?

If there's one player in the squad I can absolutely guarantee you we don't sell this summer it's Klarer

Towards the end of the transfer window he will probably be 4th choice CB. He is not really a good enough defender to play in a 4 and is best suited to play centrally in a back 5. CD though seems set on 4231. Any half decent offer and I would sell.

Bielik is an excellent player, I'm not sure why some seem so desperate for us to sell him or want to insist that he's unhappy.

You are ace.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we don't sign Davies permanently, he'll be on a bigger wage at Rangers than Bielik is here for a start.

100% agree

Keep Bielik and use him as one of our centre back options, we need 3 or 4

Seen lots of stuff on Twitter last few days along the lines of 'we should sell him' and I really don't get it

If we only had 2 good centre backs now, there'd be screams for us to sign a third one for depth. We have one in the squad, that we know is good, has done it at this level, is 27, and the actual captain, and people want to sell him, just to then replace him? I don't get it

Same. I think we will do better than Davies for the money.

We've had a cash injection and half our fanbase has become deluded.

Two pages and not one person has suggested heโ€™s going to Stoke

We used to be a forum smh

Because it helps our PSR situation if a decent offer comes in for him.

He was 4th choice last season, if a decent offer comes in I'd be surprised if he stays. I'd love him to stay though, you won't see a much better option off the bench in the league.

We'd have to replace him, and that would cost money.

He was third choice btw (Though he did play 33 league games), he's currently second choice.

He has consistently been very good as part of a back 4, lacks a bit of mobility but has a great attitude and phenomenal passing for the Championship.
Last season when he moved back there he was outstanding for us under Mowbray.

At worst he is a good Championship defender who suits the way the team plays, he can also cover right back and CM and is clearly a big presence in the squad.

Exactly, he knows our system inside out, close relationship with the manager, a very vocal and key component of the squad as captain, who has proven to be good at this level, suits our passing style and is just entering the prime of his career.

Wanting to sell him, or even entertaining it without a very silly offer, seems bizarre to me.
