I thought I'd read on here or elsewhere that part of the rationale for Etheridge not being picked was financial, in that more appearances activated an increased salary payment for him (or something, can't remember). Seems not to be the case. Or maybe it's league apps only? IDK

I covered this before.
If, as I assume, it's the same as Colin's deal was one start isn't going to make a huge amount of difference, it's only if he racks up LOTS of starts.
In other words, financial reasons probanly aren't why he's not being picked.
With the players we have, I’d start Juke every time. A proper target man who can hold the ball up. Is he good enough long term? Probably not, but right now he’s got to play.
