This is it isn’t it - either it gets better and he stays, or it doesn’t and he goes, you’d like to think with more than 5 or 6 games left.
As you said though Ian, it really needs to be a big turn in form to change minds - which is partly on Knighthead for putting him in when they did (and it being Rooney). My sense yesterday was a lot have already turned - if they hadn’t, they were mostly keeping quiet as others made their feelings clear.
In a way, the worst of all worlds will be if he gets a bit better but not much, as that just prolongs the current poison around the place.
IanTRab C NesbittIanT13/1 with Betfair sportsbookRab C NesbittWe shouldn’t be backing anything but players and manager combined. Back everything Birmingham City. Not doing so at games will only hinder not help. Some of the moaning/boos yesterday mainly from the Kop and Kop corner from where I was stood had me being sick in my mouth
That may be true, but it's how people feel.
Rooney has no chance of turning those that are against his appointment round unless there's a remarkable improvement in results. As it stands we are going down unless something changes.
Which would be a daft bet given that I think they'll make a change if relegation looks even remotely possible.
They're ruthless.
Nope….they are flippin incompetent

Just an opinion mate.
I think Rooney could take us down, but I don't think he'll get the chance.

You've explained my position on this much better than I did. 😂

I was wrong when I said constructive booing was the stupidest take I’ve seen on here.
This trumps that by a mile.
You just meant something (not necessarily the manager) has to change, right?!

Financially, sacking him will be a disaster. It'll impact the summer budget massively.
These players are quite clearly good enough to be sitting comfortably in the top 10.
We aren't selling all the players we've just signed and bringing in a load more.
If world class wayne can't get a tune out of them, then he needs to go.
I love the way you keep typing “world class Wayne”
It’s really funny
The Devlin DisguiseYou just meant something (not necessarily the manager) has to change, right?!
Yeah, although I think these guys will change the manager if they have to.
I don't see anything on the pitch that convinces me that he knows how to take us forward, save for that 20 minutes at Blacburn last week. I know it's only 8 games, but the chopping and changing of the playing style from game to game really worries me.
It must be worrying the owners/Cook too I'd have thought.
Nikola ZigicRooney was appointed on the world class theme that the owners go on about, they won't sack him I am certain of that as you say it would be a disaster, I would say give him 2 windows, bring his own type of players in then if it's not working still Get Rid, this league is a nightmare to get out of, as wagner said we need to increase revenue to even get close to the parachute payment club's, we should be doing better I agree, but league tables don't lie, we are where we are because collectively we are not good enough, we may have some decent individual players but that's not enough, the defence looks as shaky as a falling leaf in autumn, up front we are poor but we do have some decent players in them roles, why they can't do it on the pitch is a mystery to me, I will say we will finish 14th - 17th which I predicted before a ball had been kicked, most fans would be happy with 14th or above, we are no better than a mid table squad and our weaknesses are showing throughIanTRab C NesbittNo guarantee of that or we go down if it doesn’t tbf

8 games is actually quite a lot in football.
The positive is unless results improve in the next 3 or 4 games then the whole situation will be solved one way or another.
If we are anywhere near that bottom 3 by janusry and the owners have the ambition they say they do he won't be in charge.
For everyone's sake we could really do with a win at cov. Don't care how, just win.

gerry1875this league is a nightmare to get out of,
He has a very good chance of getting us out of this league this season, on current form, I'd say
