Cook appointing Rooney

Rooneys dreadful spell of games including 0-0 at home to Rotherham

Letting Long go with no replacement

Venus’ shocking results

Rowett playing for a draw yesterday

Not signing another striker in the summer / January

Pathetic away performance at Sheff Wed

Having a massively unbalanced squad ( way too many attacking mids )

The players seemingly to lack any bottle unless we sell out and the crowd get them going

Not turning up for Cardiff Boro Watford at home

Last minute defeats to QPR & Millwall

All of those have contributed, it’s been a poor season. Could probably find a few more to add to that list!

All of 'em been done to death on here.
How many more times .
Why go over old ground continuously ?
I got an idea
Jude should be front and centre of everything England do in the attacking third of the pitch.
Give him the armband now too ! ( AUG 2023 )

Too many short arses

No striker signed in January (again!)

Just you wait. If we go down, you’ll have to put up with this for another 2-3 months until next season starts, then we can find new factors to blame.

All be academic. Pointless looking back

All be academic. Pointless looking back
And people are overlooking the one vital thing, The players have been so poor and contributed to everything that as gone on, on the pitch

One single thing doesn’t relegate a team. All those things you mentioned (and plenty more) have lead us to the position we are now in. It’s not over - if we win our remaining two games, I’d say it’s very likely we survive. One is against a shit team that just lost 4-0 and the other is in front of a sold-out home crowd (something that seems to really matter to these players).

We deserve to be in the relegation places after yesterday. Let’s see if the players step up and deserve to be out of them in 2 weeks.

And that this is the fruition of 10 years of slow decay.

As has been said, I think Norwich is the easier game of the two which is madness when you think about it. But we could be relegated before then if we turn in a typical non performance away from home next week, and other results don’t go our way.

Owners/Cook rightfully wanted to move on from spit and sawdust, unattractive, low possession football that has seen us circling the drain for a decade.

Recruitment team bought in a long list of players their scouting/analytics believed were next level but within budget. Sold Cook a dream that a no fear manager would get more than pragmatic Eustace.

Recruitment awful. Cook naive. Rooney incapable and equally naive. Further silly decision to rely on Venus. Players lack both skill sets and more importantly bottle.

.

Nowt wrong with that but not partway through a season with an immediate insistance on attractive football( no fear)

They had good intentions but the Timing of what they wanted to do was naive and frankly stupid

Another mistake was getting rid of a manager the players liked at this time. They may not have wanted JE and some fans didnt want JE BUT the players Did!

Motto of the story.....walk before you can run
And again the change from passing football to spit and sawdust (Rowett back) was weird and disruptive
Tony Fantastico
FWIW i think we may have been better off keeping JE i still think we would have been slightly concerned about relegation at times. Players just aren’t good enough
