Drameh
Dembele

The obvious two.

I'd guess Hogan too.

You don't know .. so don't guess

Well we do know, multiple people called out Dembele for his unprofessionalism.

Drameh had his card marked with that pathetic goal at QPR. No coincidence he disappeared. Lots of rumours he'd downed tools.

Hogan frozen out, not interested as leaving, didn't attend the awards. Not rocket science.

Edit- ah effing hell Rags, I'll be incredibly disappointed if you're suggesting if named black players because they're black.

Not you dumb ass

If you were Drameh, on a fixed term contract playing under six managers for a team you don't have a long term deal with, and then you get bombed out in favour of players who've played much worse than you after you've been moved from position to position, most of us who start to phone it in a few weeks before the contract ended.

No great surprise though is it , i would bet that a fair few of the squad were told their services would no longer be required especially those going to be out of contract and possibly a few still contracted . if they knew the were out of the door anyway why put the effort in as some other mugs will pay them next season and i bet a fair few have already lined up their moves .

If as has been stated by the owners we had decent money to spend a fair few would have been looking over their shoulders and probably didn't fancy being left out for some new blood , can't really blame them as it is their livelihood and how football works.

i wonder how many deals for new players we had lined up for if we had survived ?

I would blame them if they have signed a contract and the bare minimum I would expect is for that player to train properly, not necessarily harder but smarter in some cases. Definitely not down tools, that's so unprofessional, and if any manager is worth their salt and notices that in a professional footballers character and still chooses to sign them, then more fool them.

Why didnt he do the honourable thing like Cosgrove and take a pay cut to play regular football?

Because it's a job to them, nothing more.

I doubt we were paying Cosgrove anything near what Hogan was.

Anyone here who says they'd take a huge pay cut to go and do the same job at a 'worse' company rather than banking as much as they can is not telling the truth

I'm glad we are finally rid of Hogan, absolute garbage and waste of a striker imo, and his wages alone put out FFP under threat a couple of times, he was on 30k a week at one point under TTA.

Why didnt he do the honourable thing like Cosgrove and take a pay cut to play regular football? Maybe because no wanted him or he wanted similar wages, no one was going to give him what he was on at Blues so in part I cant blame him. I dont know what TTA was playing at, Harlee Dean was on ridiculous wages before he left too.

Dembele I have no love for. I hope someone takes him off us

Did anyone ask him to leave?
I don't remember any suggestion an effort was made to offload him.

Where did you see Cosgrove took a pay cut? I assumed we paid him to go, so he didn't lose out but Barnsley started pick up a share. Similar to our deal when we signed Hogan from Villa.

yeh true he may have been paid off, i just know his wages are a lot less at Barnsley then at Blues

why risk an injury if you know your out the door anyway ?

according to this ( don't know how reliable it is ) [salarysport.com] Cosgrove on 18k a week

yeh exactly, on a personal level i can see why he stayed, doesnt help us though. I guarantee if we found a way to get rid in January it would have freed up funds to bring in another striker and we would have had no choice in the matter because we would have been one striker/CF less

Hogan could quite obviously not be arsed lol

Some hints from Rowett and the excellent Ryan on Substack that some players weren't putting their all into training and/or games. I didn't see it but who is he referring to? I think Drameh in his last games seemed off the boil.

"Obviously all the black ones 'cos they can't play in the cold you know and well known for being bottlers ... and I just don't like black people" ...

See I can read minds ... so this should stop some of the more ignorant amongst our fans from even having to think it.

Why don't we try and get a black manager in??? We haven't tried that yet.

Its about playing football and not sitting on the bench, because if you have any confidence in your own ability, how are you going to showcase your next move or your next move after that if your not playing and sitting on the bench?

Again, if a player is happy to pick up their wage, not play and be content with sitting on the bench, then I don't want that sort of player at Blues.

close to Hogan, which was 30k at one point, 25k then 22k. so he took slight paycuts with contract renewals it would seem but he was still our highest paid player this season I believe, higher than etheridge.

Actually I'm going to check that link you sent. I believe that to be true but I may be wrong.

Oh - EDIT - Cosgrove in league one... yeh we are definitely paying most of his wage then

Sorry EDIT again that was when he was playing for plymouth. Wasnt he on loan from Blues then so its only natural we would be paying some of his wage and plymouth part of his wage. He is at Barnsley now on a permanent transfer
